Hervé Touati ‘s deep energy expertise takes its roots in his 13 years at McKinsey, serving clients in Europe and North America.

He previously held senior executive positions with Shell, E.ON, Rocky Mountain Institute and was the co-founder and first CEO of Energy Web. At E.ON and then Shell, Hervé built from scratch two distributed energy businesses, two solar businesses, one carbon credit origination team, one biomass business and one biogas business.

While at Rocky Mountain Institute, he created the Business Renewable Center, now renamed REBA, which received the C.K. Prahalad Award for global sustainability leadership in 2017. He has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley.
